Burt Feldman Attorneys & Counselors at Law

What You Need When You Need It™

Our What You Need When You Need It™ services begin with a diagnosis of your needs through legal analysis. Then, the many roles of a traditional lawyer’s responsibilities are broken down into discrete tasks, which are divided between yourself and the lawyer. You direct the process and maintain control of your legal matter with guidance or assistance from our attorneys on an as-needed basis.

Initially, we identify the specific tasks necessary to accomplish your desired result. You then choose which of these “unbundled” services you want us to provide to supplement what you can do yourself. Our What You Need When You Need It™ services do not include making court appearances on your behalf.

The “unbundling” of the tasks in your case may include any or all of the following:

  • Gathering facts
  • Advice and counseling
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Document preparation or review
  • Negotiation
  • Coaching
  • Mediation
  • Premarital legal counseling
  • Negotiate, prepare or review property agreements (including premarital, post marital, or Couples’ Agreements)
  • Post decree modification of child support or spousal maintenance
  • Legal research
  • Discovery
  • Analysis and evaluation

What You Need When You Need It™ services help you achieve goals and protect your rights and assets proactively and effectively. Whether and how much legal assistance is appropriate depends not only upon your resources, but also upon the demands of the case plus your needs, talents and abilities. The general rule is to hire us to perform duties only a lawyer can do.
